After 20 enthusiastic years as an elementary teacher, Mike has turned his passion for travel into a second career. He instilled in his students to always be looking for that “next adventure.” And as Dr Seuss once said, “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.”
Born and raised in Auburn, New York, his very outgoing personality has led him to experience new adventures including Crossfit, Marathons, Mud Runs, campfires, Reality t.v. and crazy roller coasters. he has applied every season to be a contestant on Survivor and The Amazing Race, to be able to see the world.
He’s comfortable travelling solo and can give solo travelers expert advice. On his cruises and adventures he’s made friends and met people along the way!
From 1986-2005, he worked at Lourdes Camp on Skaneateles Lake each summer where he met many exchange counselors from all over Europe. This gave him the opportunity to travel with them all over the US. He also visited many of those friends on a backpack tour through in England and Scotland.
He coordinated a family trip (mom, dad, brother, sister, nieces and nephew) to DisneyWorld for the first time, where he made sure every attention to detail was given so his family would experience the best of the best and a trip they would never forget. He spent an entire summer traveling to all the Hawaiian islands.
Whether it’s a new adventure to the beach, family travel, or culture history and arts, there’s no place too far or duration too short for Mike to help you live out your travel dreams. It’s a wonderful world out there. Let him help you explore it. The world is waiting for you!
